Included in this ebook are the same types of procedures that computer repair shops and professional PC technicians use when they fix a slow computer… but you can get them here for a lot less money!
I don’t know if it is intentional, but I find PCs really irritating. They are forever spuing out incomprehensible error messages, running really slowly for no reason, or just crashing at the worst possible moment.
I saw this video on youtube and I absolutely love it.
This is a great way to get your own back on computers - just brilliant.
Normally I try and get my computer working by refering to a slow computer trouble shooting guide. It always seems to come up with the goods when my PC fails me. I highly recommend it.
Once upon a time, this seemed like the best computer in the world…
With time came obsolescence, and the old computer was put out for the trash man. Makes you wince doesn’t it. Surely this should be illegal to throw away this sort of stuff. The worlds in a bad enough state as it is. You might want to look the other way….
Most people know how to print a final but did you know you can actually do it without launching a programme?
All you need to do is make a shortcut on your desktop of your printer. Then you can drag any document to the shortcuts and it prints without you having to launch the application.
To create this shortcut just go to the start menu click printers and faxes and then control drag your printer onto your desktop. This should create a shortcut that you need. Not only does this only time but it makes you look like you really know what you’re doing with computers. It will really impress your friends and family when you show them this trek.
If you want to really push the boat out why not check out this e-book about optimising your computer. It is so powerful that it can add years on is the life of old computers. A really good one when your friends PCs start to slow down because of windows XP performance problems. It receives my recommendation of the month.
If you had checked 200 computers that they had the amount of RAM someone told you they did it would be a nightmare, right? not you have this your card at hand. Just hold down Windows key and press pause/break.
It has the same effect of finding my computer right clicking and choosing properties. If you do this 200 times you would probably have a sore finger by then. Also when you buy a load of computers often they don`t have a mouse so going round unplugging a mouse in can be time-consuming. Additional car it can really be a lifesaver if you have tons of computers to checkout. You get information like which version of Windows is running, the amount of RAM, and also the processor installed in the system.
Changing the subject little, I just want to tell you about a great e-book. It`s specifically written in in very clear language to help any computer user make their computer faster by streamlining their system. I recommend it highly.
Yep, I am getting a new hard drive for my laptop and I decided on the 7200 rpm 80 Gig Drive from Hitachi. this is a far cry from the old 4200 Fujitsu unit that came with my ThinkPad.
According to the ThinkPad forums, this will be removing the bottleneck of my system. I have already upped the ramp to 750 MB, so getting rid of the old hard drive would have been the obvious choice, if I was looking to increase the speed of my computer.
The reason why I got rid of it was actually not a performance that was because it had developed a bad sector. a bad sector is probably a sign that the disc was on its last legs, even though it’s only two years old. Anyway, I don’t want to take a risk and is only £46, and it’s a much better drive, so hey, what’s the loss? I should have done this ages ago anyway.
Don’t put up with a slow computer, when it can run much quicker with just a few simple tricks. Check out this weird but cool web site
one of the most appealing features of the PC as far as I’m concerned is the ability to overclocking it. I think the OS 10 years, a better operating system than windows. When you consider it has been designed for pure pleasure. Sure, XP is better supported that at the same time, it is more at risk to security breaches.
sofa ages, I have been an avid PC user just because I love to overclocked my computers and get that little bits of extra power without paying any more. But now something has happened that has changed my opinion. I have seen something that I’ve never seen before and I think now I am ready to make the transition to an Apple Computer. My brain is definitely been put through its paces the last couple of days after I saw this article: http://www.o0o.it/pro/Â
this clever guy has managed to do an over clock on a Mac prey. He started off with two dual core processes and change them so that they were quad core processes. This was a powerful system but then you really push the system to its limits with an over clock. Now the processing power of this machine is really something to behold. I’m sure in the next few years will look back at the system and say while was so special about that? But there aren’t many PCs around in the domestic market that can achieve this kind of performance, especially when you consider that Apple sell this spec of machine for several thousands of pounds.
to the meantime, I am going to stick with Windows XP and make the most of it by using the special techniques that help you to run the operating system at its best.
if you own a laptop, you should definitely think about the time when it will go wrong. It’s just a question of time, unlike a ticking bomb. One day your computer will just not work like it did the day before. it is something that most people don’t even think about.
A really neat feature that I have seen on IBM ThinkPad is the ability to switch out a hard drive with minimal fuss. if anything should go wrong with your IBM ThinkPad then they ask you to remove the hard drive and your Bantry before sending it away. Not only does this protect your data from being lost. It also enables you to plug your hard drive into another computer and carry on working as if nothing had happened.
I just think this is a really good idea, because once I had an Apple iBook, and when it went wrong. I had to send away the entire machine. The hard drive was inside the case and I couldn’t open the case without invalidating the warranty. it was the most inconvenient thing that had ever happened to me and I would strongly recommend that anyone be prepared for such an eventuality. It cost me so much time and money because I had to hire a second computer for several weeks.
this slow computer repair process is. I think quite common, so you should be prepared for it is because it happens too far too many people these days.
it so fast, I almost think that the video has been sped up to make it look even quicker. Did you see how quick photoshop launches? It is absolutely stunning. My computer takes pages to even bootup. Windows XP runs so slow sometimes it`s a joke.
when I get my new PC. I`m definitely going to try and get it to run as fast as this one, Vista is really cool. The thing I love about it so much is the way that you can flip the screens over to switch applications. I know you need at least one Gig of RAM and a good graphics card, but it is a small price to pay for such brilliant performance.
There are so many people chucking their old PCs away at the moment. I hear people saying all the time that they are going to get a new computer. When I ask them why, its always because their old PC is too slow.
If only they knew that there is nothing wrong with their hardware. Afterall the average PC user only uses it for email, web browsing and word processing - hardly the most demanding tasks. Any PC made in the last 5 years should more than meet the task.
So why is their old computers running so slow? Its Windows XP. After 6 months of normal use it begins to become noticeably slower and can get so bad that it can take over one minute to startup. Browsing files and webpages can become annoyingly slow - and that is the point that most people throw it in the trash. Such a shame.
You can actually rejuvinate your old PC inexpensively in just a mater of minutes. Sound to good to be true? Well, the truth is that Windows XP easily gets bogged down, and just like a car needs periodical servicing to keep it running smoothly.
A great resource that I always recommend is an eBook on how to Tune Windows XP. Check it out if you want to have your PC performing at its best.
